[Solved] Printing in LO more than 1 Step?

Post by Oskar4U »

When I hit print in LO calc, there is a new window popping up to select File/Print.

Is there a better way to avoid the extra steps?

You can customize the Toolbar and the Menu. You can add the Print Directly icon/item:

Guess I opened another can of worms.....lol

Trying to do what you described I lost from my Tools Menu the "Customize" and "Options". Can you please tell me how to correct this.

Then I will give it another try more carefully

Thanks

Apologies for the mix up, kind what you would expect from a beginner....lol

Anyway the "Options" and "Customize" are there in the Tools menu, just didn't see them!

I think I will give up on the extra printer steps, I guess it's not a big deal + I don't do printing every day. I thought it was something more easy. Perhaps later when I have more experience I will give it another try.

Many thanks for your help

Good for you!
Just in case: View ⟶ Toolbars provides the Customize item too.

For something more easy, yoy might see excerpt from the Calc Guide 7.5 below.

If the icon is not visible, you can make it visible by right-clicking on the Standard toolbar, pointing to Visible Buttons, and selecting Print Directly.

Good to know View / Toolbars also has Customize, thanks

I already have in the Tools/Options/Load-Save/General, Load printer settings with the document.

However I don't understand "Print Directly icon" Where do I see the icon?

And still not sure how to get the Print Directly to where? when I'm in the Customize window. Perhaps I must first select the "Target" in the Customize window and if yes set it to where/what?

Sorry, so many questions but it will be nice if I had an icon "Print Directly?

Thanks

Watch / download gif animations recorded on Windows 11.
The Print Directly icon is added to the Standard bar and in the File menu.
