[Dropped] Copy & paste a chart to a different month

Post by Howardofski »

I have a chart on the Jan page which draws its data from that page.

When I copy the chart to the Feb page, it continues to draw its data from the Jan page.

I notice that on the Jan page, the chart has a format option "Data Ranges".

But when I copy the chart to the Feb page, it loses that format option.

Is there a way to copy the chart and make it refer to the page it is on, rather than the page it came from?

Thanks for any clues.

It would help to see tha actual file or at least a sample with fake data (see How to attach a document here).

Without seeing the file, what I guess is that the data are embedded and you have to edit the chart on page 2 and paste the new data.
Said otherwise, if you change the data in the page 1, does it also change the chart in the page 2? If so, then the chart is indeed linked to the page 1. But I rather doubt that (but I'm not an Impress power user).

Thanks for the reply. After much experimenting, I finally just gave up and rebuilt the chart for each month page.
