Spellcheck not saving progress after save/close then reopen

Hi all. On lengthy documents I am spellchecking I would like to save & close then come back later and pick up where I left off, but I notice on reopening a document it does not "save" my spellcheck progress and underlines words I have already previously told it to 'ignore'. Is this working as intended or is it supposed to remember to ignore words you have previously told it to? Thanks for your help!

I suggest you put your Ignore words into a Custom dictionary.

If you use the Ignore all feture, then those words should not be underlined again, see: Reset spell checker to check same text as if 1st time.

There is no feature that saves the position of the spell check AFAIK.
