Deleting letter/word on all PDF pages at once

Post by smarvill »

Morning All - I'm wondering what's the method to delete a letter/word on all PDF pages at once. After using OO to open pdf music charts there are many erroneous symbols and letters that appear. I use Find (letter/symbol) & Replace (space bar) to clear these out per page. I'd like to have F&R scan all pages included in the pdf file and not just the one I'm working on. TIA.

Welcome to the Forums.
I'm going to suggest that you not work with the PDF file, as they are not meant to be edited.
If you can import or open the file in OpenOffice, then do so, then save it as a OpenOffice Draw file (I don't use draw, so I'm not sure what the extension is).
Once you have the file open in OpenOffice you can use the Find and Replace just ensure that All Pages is marked.

Good Morning Russel - searched for selecting "All Pages" in Draw. Could not find the option. Would you know where it is?

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
