Is there a fast and easy way to increase/reduce the fonts size on a slide?

Have a look to the Styles, a key feature in OOo. Open the Styles and Formatting panel (F11), right click on the Default entry and modify the font size in the Fonts tab. You may need several slides styles if fonts sizes have to be different depending on the slide.
