problem printing handouts

Post by RevNomad »

I've not tried using the print handout options until yesterday. Perhaps there is a simple solution, which is what I am searching for. Currently I either get a blank page or one page per slide. Here is a description of the problem:
Go to handout tab>select 6 slide per page option
Go to file>print>options>set content to handouts>select ok> select print

I expected a page with six slide miniatures. What I got was a landscape page with date and time in upper right corner and nothing else. This is not good.

Suggestions? Clarifications? Advice?
Thanks

No, your procedures sound correct to me.

There seem to be various (really!) bugs relating to this process. Although I find that it works ok for me, others have reported problems on Windows depending on exactly what was on the slides (images, text, etc) and what option they chose under File > Print > (Printer) Options > Quality. It seems that some of those options work, some work poorly, some not at all. Under Ubuntu, anything can happen.

I printing to a Sharp AR-M205 Digital Imager. Does anyone here have experience using OpenOffice with this machine?

I had the same problem of blank pages or full size. I think the problem is leaving "Drawing" checked. Be sure to UNcheck it, and check Handouts. I was able to select B&W under Quality with this.
