"text lines are overwriting margins" site:forum.openoffice.org
returns "No Results" from Google, but DuckDuckGo, Bing and Yahoo all find the topic posted today on the forum. Similar searches for other topics posted in the last few days produce similar results. Google is still finding older topics. I get the same results using Firefox 76 and Chromium 81.
The last reply to the topic on the dev ML was posted May 12. That's about the time this problem seems to have started.
I've reloaded the Board Index page several times, and Google [Bot] has shown up every time as an online user. I have not yet seen a bot from any other search sites.
This could hamper users' attempts to search for solutions since most probably have Google as their default search engine. I'm switching mine to DuciDuckGo.
I have seen a number of search bots on forum, often three or four, but less of recent days, now that you mention it. I also switched to DuckDuckGo some time ago since starting to use Opera as browser.
That's a query that should return many old topics, but there are no topics on the first page of hits that were posted recently. I'm only concerned about recent posts.

Google returned "No Results" for those search strings and displayed links to messages containing similar text that were posted on or before 14 Mar 2020. DuckDuckGo displayed the link to the message containing the search string.

"openoffice writer file is not responding" site:forum.openoffice.org
returns "No results" from Google. This topic has 4 messages posted on 7 May 2020. This blows up my assumption that the problem with topic searches started on a specific date about 13 May 2020.
