Why "Update All Links?" when opening my file?

Why "Update All Links?" when opening my file?

It seems mainly on spreadsheets but why do i keep getting the "Update All Links?" message when opening?

See menu:Edit>Links...
Find any formulas containing DDE( or 'file:///

and? No formula's at all that I can see or either DDE or file:/// ????

But you do see one or more links in menu:File>Edit...

When you go to Edit > Links, what happens when you click "Links"?

An "Edit Links" box comes up with over 100 lines of "8x16_spacer.png PNG-Portable Network G Graphic Manual"

Select these and break the link.

Click the list, hit Ctrl+A to select all entries, click the "break links" button

Maybe you (or other persons) have copied some formatted content into your file together with the links.
Never paste formatted contents from foreign sources. You can not control if unnecessary contents and formatting properties will be inserted into your file. Use the "Paste special - As unformatted text" option.
