[Solved] Developer cannot be verified

Post by Ellen Bergeron »

I just upgraded the operating system for my Mac Book Air to Catalina, 10.15. As well, I upgraded my OpenOffice to 4.1.7. However, when I try to open OpenOffice, I get a message that it cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. MacOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware. What should I do about this?

This is due to the Gatekeeper application that Apple is supplying with your computer.

Hold the Control key and click on the app icon to open the OpenOffice. The simple Terminal command explained here https://www.winytips.com/installer-cant ... -software/ may also be used.
Open Office 3.3, macOS
