I have just installed the latest version of OpenOffice 4.1.7 on to a newish Lenovo laptop with the latest version of Windows 10. I deleted the old version OpenOffice 4.1.6 before downloading the newer version.
When I go to "Save" file or "Save as" file I receive this error message "General input/output error" while trying to access the folder I keep all the OpenOffice files in C:\Users\trevm\Documents\My Documents\~Reckoners\file name. I can save the files to the desktop, I don't want to keep all my files on the desktop. I have tried renaming the folder to My_Documents but still the same issue.
Assitance required. I have been using OpenOffice for about twenty years and not had this problem before.
Regards
Trevor
