Cell Sizes Change When Opening ODS File on Another PC

Hello!

I tried to search the forum for this problem, but didn't find this question asked. I am taking an ODS file that I created from a PC using Windows 7, and transferring it to a PC using Windows 10. Both are running the same version of OpenOffice (4.1.16). However, when I open the spreadsheet on the Windows 10 computer, all the cells are smooshed together, and cutting off the text. Does anyone know why? I've tried transferring these files via email/then downloading and also through thumb drive.

Anyone have an issue with this? I have a feeling it's a simple thing I'm missing.

Perhaps the two computers have different settings? Check View | Zoom settings on both machines. Or perhaps the column width settings are different.

Look at the % figure in the bottom right of the OO windows. If these differ, the zoom levels differ.

Hey guys, thanks for your responses! I checked the zoom level, and it is set at 100% on both computers. If the column widths have changed, is there any way to make the configurations stick when you transfer the file, and open it up somewhere else?

If the two computers have different sized screens and or different resolutions, then the cell sizes will be different.
