All my spreadsheets format changed and data was lost while documents were closed. Any ideas on recovery? Thanks

Re: spreadsheet data lost
Welcome to the Forums.
If you have lost all of the data from your spreadsheets while they were closed, then that indicates a failure of the storage medium...probably hard drive, though USB stick is also an option.
If it was a failure of the storage medium, then it would not just affect your spreadsheets...unless you had nothing but spreadsheets on it.
You state "All my spreadsheet format changed"... what do you mean by format? Do you mean that they try to open with another program? If so, then that's a file association problem, which has been discussed several times before.
As to a recovery option, a quick Google search came up with this list
Before you go about using the recovery, please explain what it is that leads you to believe the files have been lost.

Tips for the future:
Always create more then one backup copy of your important documents.

Never work on a removable media directly.
Always store your documents into the native, international standard ODF file formats. (You can create a copy at end of editing into a foregn format - if it is necessary.)

Re: Spreadsheet data lost
Thank you.
And apologies. The issue is resolved. Data recovered . . . from the mysteriously reset margins that disappeared the data out of sight.
