Conditional Formatting by Date

Post by jc macgiver »

conditional formating rules.png
Hello Everyone Thanks in Advance for your Help. What I am trying to do is change (Background Color) in a cell based on a Date... I have gotten this to work in conditional formatting using the "today" statement eg( Today()+7) Today()+12) Today()+20) However it will only allow me to set 3 Rules/conditions
I would like to have a different color for past dates as well as blank cells ..which is why I need 5 conditions for example.

The first matching condition applies first, disregarding the other conditions.
less than today+7 is always matched before less than today+10
switch the 2 conditions.

There is an extension available that allows more than 3 conditions, https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/pr ... formatting

The successor to OpenOffice https://libreoffice.org supports more than 3 conditions out of the box.
