Special Characters

Post by VosperD »

Hi.
I used to use a program called Accentuate by Bill Hibbert to compose special characters, i.e. accents in French, in Open Office writer but it no longer appears to work and his website no longer exists.
Is the only way now to use the Insert facility each time?
Or is there another extension that can be downloaded?
Many thanks.

I use the extension Compose Special Characters. To use it, you set a special key combination and then you can type, for example, e' followed by the key combination and get é.

Have you tried using the US international keyboard layout?
