[Solved] After the Download where are you????

I downloaded the Open Office onto my Mac and double clicked the .dmg that I received. It open a OpenOffice disk looking thing that when I clicked on it Implied that I look in my Application folder for this. I do not see and OpenOffice words or any other Possible names.

Where are YOU??? What am I missing?

I also down loaded JAVA since I was fairly sure that I did not have it either.

I don't think that is how you install a program on a Mac. See this link for instructions

I am and beginner (always).
I finally figured what they meant. Was able to copy then paste the .app into my Applications folder.
Restarted my computer
Double clicked on the OpenOffice icon in the Application folder.
My computer made a icon down on the bottom application line thing. Tagged it and it bounced...

BUT

A pop up came up that said that I could not use this since it did not come from the Apple Store. ***sign***

I am trying to get something that will work with Windows Office set but can't afford to buy the Windows Office Set. Need to send stuff (letters and spreadsheets) to others that have the Windows Office set. **frustrating**
