Two documents on screen

Post by Connee »

I am trying to put two documents side-by-side on the screen. At the bottom right, it looks like I should be able to do it there, but it doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm missing a step or something? I do transcription work (from handwritten copy stored on flashdrive) and am trying to avoid printing out every page I need to transcribe to type from. I am using TONS of ink and paper doing that! :-/ Thanks for your help!

The small icons at the lower right have to do with the layout of pages within a single document. In OpenOffice, each document gets it own window. To view documents side by side, you have to open the documents independently and then resize and position the windows however you want.
