'Versions' under 'file' button

Post by coppens1 »

Dear fellow Open Office Users, in my Open Officer Version 4.1.4, when I open a spreadsheet, and click file, the 'Versions' selection is grey and unavailable. Why is it unavailable? It is supposed to keep track of multiple versions of a workbook. Does anyone use 'Versions'?

I am taking an Open Office Tutorial, and 'Versions' is part of the exercise.

One has to Save a file initially then select /File /Versions to Save the next version; until you have more than one a version available /File /Versions will be greyed out (i.e. you must have Saved a file so there is at least that version available).

You may also consider downloading timeStampBackup from http://flowcont.hu/LO_oxt_store/ as an alternative. You'll have a list of your file with the different times you saved it throughout the day or each day.
