[Solved] Missing input line and and name box

How do I restore the missing input line and name box

Am old and not that good with computers, have a laptop which is OK and have tried going through that to see what is missing on the desktop where the problem is no joy so far

It is missing on both documents and spreadsheets they are the only 2 I use.

If this is a problem with Calc, try View | Toolbars and make sure Formatting is checked. If that isn't the solution to your problem, can you please give a little more detail, including which component - e.g. Writer, Calc, Draw etc - you are using.

Sorry, my first reply should have said make sure View | Formula Bar is checked for Calc.

What is Documents - do you mean Writer, the AOO word processor? - and what is missing from it?

Have just looked at a spreadsheet and without me altering anything it has come back on its own accord. So my problem seems to be solved at this moment

Note that the View | Formula Bar setting is not a global setting, but just applies on a per spreadsheet basis.

Meaning that one spreadsheet file may have the option unchecked, whilst another may have it enabled.
