[Solved] Impress quitting on trying to load embedded video
I have an Impress presentation that includes an embedded video on slide 2. It has been working under Apache OpenOffice 4.1.6 and Mac OS X 10.14.4 until yesterday. Since then, when trying to open the presentation it loads the first page, but on trying to get the thumbnail for the second page, the whole application crashes. I have tried going back to previous versions of the presentation with time machine, but there has been embedded video on that slide from the beginning.
a) is there some way around this?
b) is there a way to open the presentation in a different program to delete the embedded video and then start using it again in Impress?
I can attach the file here, if that would be helpful.

Re: Impress quitting on trying to load a page w/ embedded vi
Please upload the .odp file. We can see if we have the same issue here or maybe remove the offending video or slide.

I seem to be having difficulty with "upload file". I click in the text box, add the file (even tried removing spaces from its name), click "Add the File" and it clears the text box and sends me back to the message editor. Any idea what I'm doing incorrectly?

Trying again from home.
EDIT: Nope. I still don't see it as attached.

Click on the "Upload attachment" tab. Then click on the "Choose file" button. A file manger window will open, allowing tyou to navigate to and select the target file. If you wish, enter a comment or description in the file comment window (not always necessary). Then click on the "Add the file" button and conclude your posting.

The maximum file size for uploads to this Forum is 128K. Impress files are often much larger than that. An alternative is to upload it to MediaFire or DropBox and provide us with a link.

I removed the video, see if this works.
