Printing Labels

Post by NelsNA »

I am printing labels through a software, and I was wondering if it was possible to get them to default to print vertically, from top to bottom, as opposed to horizontally, from left to right.

If you look at the attachment, I want it to go in the direction of the black arrow as opposed to the blue, which I believe would be a setting in open office, but one that I can't figure out.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

The simplest workaround is probably to rearrange the data in the spreadsheet and then print the rearranged data. Do so by creating a second sheet where the data from the original sheet is rearranged and the sheet is used only for printing.

Also see this search on landscape for ideas.

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.

A forum search for label direction finds this topic which may be helpful if you are getting your data from a spreadsheet.
