Re: Graphs will not display.
There is not such component in the AOOon Open Office excel
The name of the Spreadsheet application is "Calc"
What a file type are you using? Always use the native, international standard ODF file formats - in this case the .ods one.
Can you upload a problematic sample file here? The file size limit is 128 KiB in this forum. You can share the larger files on a free file sharing service like the Google drive.

Re: Graphs will not display.
Thanks, lesson learned. To give you a short story. I have to create a graph onto a word doc. I did that but then when I sent it to myself, the graph would not appear. I do not see the option to save as ".ods" I have attached what I have. Hope you can see it.

Re: Graphs will not display.
The attached .odt is not a spreadsheet file. I supposed, that you meant the Calc. The of the "word doc" component is Writer in the AOO. The .odt is a text document, but not "word doc".
The only one graph object in your sample file is appeared for me in my LO 6.1.5 and AOO 4.1.5 portable:
Maybe you have uncheck (accidentally?) the option
Tools - Options - Open/LibreOffice - View - Graphics and objects
(The menu structure maybe is different on a MAC)

Now it came up for you but same document would not open on my friend's computer. She has a HP. However, I tried to look for the graphics and objects button. NO LUCK. I will keep looking.

What a type and version of office suites has she installed (using)? How she tried to open the text document: by a click/double click on the filename/icon?Now it came up for you but same document would not open on my friend's computer. She has a HP.

Under Windows 7 with AOO 4.1.5 portable, I can access your chart and the data (double-click it). It's a spreadsheet embedded in the text document.

Re: Graphs will not display.
