[Solved] Print problem

Post by jerrypotter46 »

When I create a document in writer and attempt to print, the page preview is grayed out and the page number below that should contain 1/1, the first one is grayed out. When I preview the page the letters is very small and also grayed out. I tried and it does the same thing on Calc. I've tried the Format/ default formatting and that didn't change anything.

If we ignore Print Preview, does the file print? If so, what does it look like?
Are files printing correctly from another application?

What model of printer?
Are your print drivers up to date?

It would help if you could upload a sample file here. There is an upload tab at the bottom of the Reply and Quote windows but not the Quick Reply window.

If the file is too large you can upload to a file hosting service such as Dropbox or MediaFire and post the download link here.

Well I just opened the document and another that I printed a couple of weeks back so I could compare settings between the two.
I decided to print the older one to be sure it would still print and it did. Tried to print the new doc and it printed this time.
Probably was just me, at 72 years old I sometimes think i'm loosing my touch with these computers.
Many thanks anyway
