Tab option

Post by awascholl »

I came across an extension that allowed for tab browsing, but it doesn't work with the most recent version. Are there any other extensions that do this?

That is a very-very old extension. Maybe it not compatible with the newer version of the AOO and LO.

It's not compatible and I want to find something current that does the same thing.

https://extensions.openoffice.org/en - The extension is not present on this site.
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions - The extension is not present on this site.

If I know it exactly: the window handling method of the AOO and LO does not support the "multitab appearing".

As OO Components are all top level windows they show in the Windows Taskbar. If you don't have the Taskbar set to auto-hide then you have the 'tabs' there to click on and ALT+tab key swiches between them.

What is it that you want to be able to do that can't be done with those?

Its a simple matter to enumerate the OO components and bring the clicked item into focus. Simple demo, uses a listbox but command buttons or labels for 'tabs' could be used:

Install JeSample, run JeSample/WLM module/main
Run reset after you add or remove a window to reset the list.
