Windows 10 Check for updates not working

Please help!!
I've installed Open Office 4.1.5 and since then, I can't check for Windows 10 updates. Is there some work-around for this? TIA

That shouldn't happen. Ever. Did you get it from the real source or from another website that offers a version loaded with malware? Only download from the link at the bottom of this page, and don't click on any links on the sourceforge.net page.

Just a thought... Could the genuine version be digitally signed? That would be a big help to differentiate between the real and fake download!
