[Solved] Crashes upon opening
I have been using Openoffice for years with my Mac without any issues; however, recently I have not been able to get the program to open. It crashes every time. I have reinstalled it with no change. I am running Mac High Sierrra and am using Openoffice version 4.1.6. Any suggestions would be welcome since I cannot access any of the documents I created

Re: CRASHES UPON OPENING
Try deleting or renaming your OO User profile. A Reinstall does not do this. Details of the OO User profile are given in

If A02, A28, A15, and A39 don't help, review other topics in this forum to see if they match your symptoms. If so, try any solutions you find.lisakeller wrote:It crashes every time.

Re: Crashes upon opening
I've got the same problems as Lisa.
a) OO was a first install on my new machine
b) it was "activated" by using crtl open
c) in the applications folder there is no OO - hence no profile
d) I went through the installation procedure 3 times to be sure there was no error in the process - same result 3 times
Any ideas?

Re: Crashes upon opening
I finally figured it out. I had not realized that "Go" was at the top bar when I clicked on the Finder. Thank you all for your help... I finally got OO to run properly
