[Solved] How to install
[Solved] How to install
I am sorry. I don't know how to install this. I've downloaded the folder and extracted the files and I have a folder called en-US which contains "licenses", "readmes" and "RPMS". I'm used to there being just a .exe file that you can "run", and all the instructions for how to install that I find from Apache site are not in laymens vernacular.
I have no idea what the following two steps mean for RPM and and DBM based installations, respectively, for instance, nor do I know what RPM or DBM are
""" su to root, if necessary, and navigate to Apache OpenOffice installation directory.
You will likely need to be root to run the rpm command to install the software.
cd into the RPMS subdirectory of the installation directory.
You should see a lot of rpms here and one sub-directory called "desktop-integration". """"
"""" One you download the Apache OpenOffice tar.gz package, you should be able to decompress typing.
tar Apache-OpenOfficeX.X.X.tar.gz package or using programs such as Ark, or File-Roller.
cd into the DEBS subdirectory of the installation directory.
You should see a lot of debs here and one sub-directory called "desktop-integration". """"
Please help! I desperately need this program for resumes!!!!!!!

Re: How to install
Don't install anything. Start the program LibreOffice. It is the successor of OpenOffice. I'm almost sure that LibreOffice is already installed on your system.
