For some reason I may have changed some settings that now gives me very small fonts on the opening screen (Select type of document).
I reinstalled OO and get the same results.
Some help appreciated for my old eyes..
Thanks in advance.

/View /Zoom, try 100% to start with.

Thanks I’ll give it a try when I get home later.

Re: Screen Opening - Fonts very small
In Mac Preferences /Options (Other PCs /Tools /Options) on /OpenOffice /View screen, one can alter scaling to 130% and Icon sizes to Large. These may help increase legibility of the OO menus and toolbars, but not of document text (which should be adjusted by /View /Zoom).

Re: Screen Opening - Fonts very small
BINGO, THANKS THAT WORKED. I guess 130% is something I have to get used to. Larger would be nice.
If I can find the plist for OO, it can be deleted and returned to DEFAULT as originally installed.
Any ideas on that?

Re: Screen Opening - Fonts very small
To reset to standard it will probably be sufficient to reset Scaling to 100% and Icon size and style to Automatic.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
Plist ? It's a MAC thing, probably not found on windows......PROPERTIES LIST
It looks like this :
