Hi, using a 3.4.1 version of OpenOffice.
Copy and paste of some articles from the same site.
Consisting of text and images.
One of these articles appears saved as no-sense , pages-long string of characters in place of an image.
Image had a pink background.
The file is no longer editable in this section.
If I try , CPU goes in spike 100% (and I have an i7) with no result.
I have to manually close the openoffice process.
The doc is editable before and after that part.
Any restore-point ?

Re: Crash issue. image visualized as a caracters string
Would the site you are copying from happen to be upswingpoker.com/how-the-pros-take-advantage-of-hand-combinations/ If so, they use some unorthodox methods of presenting their site, possibly with the intent of making it hard for people to copy parts of their information. You might consider trying to save the image to your site, then insert it into your document.
You may find [Tutorial] Some useful hints on using images a useful resource.

Re: Crash issue. image visualized as a caracters string
Positive.
My issue is: how to get rid of that part since it stalls all my file.
I have troubles also scrolling my file (scrolling the part creates the CPU spike).
I need to delete it , or going back to the original file before the paste was made.
PS I have pasted 5-6 articles from that same site, one only is creating troubles.

That one page seems to have three unorthodox images.
To remove the offending image, try opening the document, then open the Navigator; View | Navigator or F5. The image may be listed there; if so you can try a right click on the graphic label, then from the menu under Graphics choose Delete.

I have no idea what an "unorthodox' image might be Perhaps a rabbit in a tutu?
However, you can double click on the image name under the Graphics section in the navigator and you will go to that image in your document. The graphics appear to be listed in the order they are located in the document. Once you have identified the correct graphic, try deleting it as described above.
