OpenOffice Toolbar(s) in Writer, Calc and more
OOo 3.0.X on MS Windows Vista + Mandriva Linux 2009
Re: OpenOffice Toolbar(s) in Writer, Calc and more
That seems to be a typical problem of long-time WinWord users, where people tend do everything through point-and-click. When editing documents in Writer and Calc I almost never use any toolbars. I do hard formatting rarely by means of keybord shortcuts. Instead I use OOo's docking windows, mostly the stylist. Stylist and navigator use to be docked at both sides of the document, datasources on top (since they are needed for no longer than a few seconds they could be floating). Context-sensitive toolbars are floating. I'm familiar with many shortcuts and Alt-Menu combinstions. Furthermore I use to create contents first before doing all the formatting - if formatting is necessary at all. My regulary used Writer templates (letters) are pre-formatted.
