[Solved] Installation problem

Post by mrchipz »

I can download the installation file and I see the welcome to office setup window. I click next and then install and I receive the installation wizard setup window. I click next and then enter my user name and select complete installation, I then click install. I immediately receive a message basically saying that it cannot read the openoffice415msi file and that´s as far as I get.

Can anyone please help

This has probably been discussed before on the forum. Try copying the error message into a Google search box to find previous discussions about the problem.

Thanks Bill, already tried that but just get a load of ´unable to read links´, which don´t solve my problem

Are you trying to install to a different drive than C:? Have you dowloaded the .exe install file from this location http://www.openoffice.org/download?

Thanks, problem solved. The installation files were on my desktop, so I moved them to my C: drive and the installation went perfectly!

Thanks again all
