Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5

Post by Tim S »

When are you going to fix the bugs in this version? It crashes repeatedly. I've been using OpenOffice for about ten years and NEVER had instability issues. This version is horrible.

There's nothing stopping you from going back to a version that you have used with no problems.
Due to problems with 4.1.5, I went back to 4.1.4, which works fine for me.
There was no problem in going back to 4.1.4 from 4.1.5, just a matter of uninstalling the 4.1.5 version and reinstalling the 4.1.4 version.
As to fixes, you'll have to wait for, at best, the 4.1.6 version, which, I understand, is in beta development stage.

I suppose then the crashing is related to the Win10 upgrades but not to a specific AOO version. Try the LibreOffice if it crashes too, or not.
You can install it near the AOO. Or you can try a portable version of the LO.
