My documents in OpenOffice won't print

I have used Open Office for years. Today I had difficulty printing my documents. I downloaded the newest version 4.1.5. I have an Epson printer and called them. It ended up that my printer works fine- will print documents etc. that are not from Open Office. I have windows 8. All my work documents are on Open Office so it's very important that I can print them. When I try to print a document from Open Office, it prints blank each time, even though it shows up correctly in the printer preview. Please help.

It has been reported that reinstalling the printer drivers after an OO upgrade may help. It may be best to download the latest drivers from the Epson site, uninstall the present drivers, reboot the computer then install the new drivers.

Edit: A workaround is to Export as PDF any documents urgently needed, and print from the PDF.
