Lost Data at AOO Writer

Hello!

Could you please help me! I lost my data in OO Writer
I had a document (Cyrillic text and table - without any images). Document was saved as .doc
Yesterday, I saved documet, then electricity went down, and PC switched off. When I loaded PC again and started OO, it asked me to insert my name-surname. When I tried to open document - it asks me to select code. But every selection I did, OO opens only black square-boxes.
.bak file also opens black square-boxes.

Are there any chances to de-code and recover data.
Sorry, for my poor English, it's not my native language.

I hope you had backups.
But basically, never work in .doc. Save in native ODF (.odt) and export in .doc when needed. But it wouldn't have changed anything here.

Your only hope is to see [Tutorial] How to find and un-delete Writer temporary files for

a) detailed instructions on how to recover your file as it was when you last opened or saved it, or as it was when it was last saved with AutoRecovery;

b) how to find previous versions of the file in the folder it is located in, but which have since been deleted;

c) how to un-delete the temporary files Writer wrote while you were editing the file, and then deleted. This will recover your file as it was when you last opened or you last saved it and is probably your best hope.

As it was a .doc file your chances are slim.
