[Solved] Reading old files on new OpenOffice

Post by mickyr »

I'm using OpenOffice 3.4.0 (32-bit) on my MacOS 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion). Now I'd like to upgrade my OS to the new High Sierra (which only accepts 64-bit apps) so I would of course have to download the latest OpenOffice 4.1.5. My question is would I be able to open my old .odt files created by the 32-bit OpenOffice with the latest 64-bit version? I don't dare upgrade until I know this can be done! Thanks.

There should be no problem; the OO .odt files are not bit sensitive.
