[Solved] Upgrading to 4.1.5

Post by jjdkcbbo »

I am new to this forum. My son downloaded OpenOffice 3 for me. I've been using OpenOffice3 for years and today downloaded and installed the newest version. What do I do with the old version 3? Do I uninstall? I'm hesitant to do that in case all my existing documents (mostly word processing) don't open using the latest downloaded version. Thank you.

You can leave the old version in place if you want to. Once you become confident that the new version doesn't create any problems, use the standard uninstall process, which I am not familiar with on a Mac. At times, I have run for months with parallel versions in place.
