Snaking Colums

Post by Fade »

Is there any way to snake columns so they run on the space available on the first page, before going to the next page?

i.e.
on the same page...

A | B | C| A | B | C| A | B | C|

page 2
A | B | C|
end

I don't think there's any setting to have Calc do it, but you can paste it into Writer (paste special, as formatted text) and set the page format to use as many columns as will fit. Writer will wrap the table as you asked for.

I don't think so, but if you can foresee the need, you can, having once first established your columns, whether data or formula, select certain cells and drag that selection elsewhere maintaining integrity. So, you can manually line up to suit, then have that selection fit the page for printing [the Page Brage Preview helps there.]
