Saving documents?
How do I save my documents in case of a power outage? I've lost them before.... Tks.

If you mean how do you save a document so it's password protected, I suggest you look at the Save As dialog the next time you save a document.

You need often create backup copies of your document if you want prevent the lost a lot of data.How do I save my documents in case of a power outage? I've lost them before.... Tks.
There is a little extension for the parallel normal saving an creating a new copy with timestamped filename.

Agree with Zizi64...
Make sure you automatically save your copy every minute (you can adjust time in settings), so you will have a chance to restore it. Even if some part of work will be lost, at least you'll have a bigger part of it

A useful tip is to use Ctrl S, which will save the current version of the document. However, this is no substitute for making regular backups - advised at least for each editing session. The timed/dated backup macro Zizi64 links is a very good idea.

See Tools > Options > Load/Save ... for backup and AutoRecovery options. Click Help for more information. The paths are specified in Tools > Options > OO > Paths.
