[Solved] Open office document jumps to larger size

Post by radios »

I have an open office document. Suddenly it jumped to a large print. Whne i used the control/minus to make it smaller, it just puts some kind of tag in there and does not reduce the size of the document. Now the document is much too large and I cannot get it back to normal size.

Click in the % box at bottom right of OO and enter 100&, or use /View /Zoom. or pull the slider at bottom right of OO window.
Edit: Ctrl minus is a Firefox command; I don't think it works in OO

Then turn on the Status bar using /View /Status bar. It gives other useful information besides the slider and % adjustment.

In Writer Status bar gives Page number and count on left, current page style about 1/4 over, current language at cursor position in middle, then INSERT/OVERWRITE switch (click here, watch it change - same as pressing Insert key), an extended selection mode in next box, name of Section (if OO Section is in use) and finally page display options (three icons), scaling slider, and scaling percentage indicator.

If one has the Statusbar word count extension installed, this shows up about 1/6th way from the left.
