Defalt font in Writer

Post by alfonso159 »

How can I configure Open Office Write to change the font and font size to a particular one no matter what kind of font I paste to a page? Before my last update (over a year ago), I had Open Office set up this way. Now, no matter what font I set it is never changed unless I do it manually.

Greetings and welcome to the community forum!

If you want to paste text with the formatting coming from the original source, plain paste (Edit > Paste, Ctrl+V) should work.

If you want to paste only the text, without any special formatting, so that it gets its formatting from the document you're pasting into, use Edit > Paste Special > As Unformatted text (Ctrl+Shift+V or Ctrl+Shift+Alt+V). You can also use the "Paste" menu button on the main toolbar: click and hold and then select "Unformatted". I don't know of any way to make this the default.
