[Solved] Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

Post by berniebeaudry »

I go to open up an invoice that I want to modify and I get this message box
The last time you opened OpenOffice, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again? The two choices are open and reopen. Neither one does anything when I select it. In addition nothing else works either. Even if the menu items are available selecting them does nothing. Its like the program is stuck because of the message I described yet it won't go away or do anything. I threw away the old version and downloaded the latest version and it still doesn't work.
For one thing it didn't unexpectedly quit so I don't know why this is happening in the first place. I'll have to quit using Open Office if I don't get this resolved.

I have the same problem and have deleted the "org.openoffice.script.savedState" file, but the problem isn't fixed. Buttons to Open or Don't reopen don't work. The "quit" doesn't work, and I'm not getting the option to force quit. I am using OSX EL Capitan 10.11.6

Try as suggested in Q01/A01. This is the solution that seems to work for everyone else. You must Quit or Force Quit before proceeding with the solution. It should not be necessary but you could reboot before proceeding with the solution.

:D :D :D Thankyou! I now know how to force quit by another route, thanks to your sending me to Q01/A01 of [Tutorial]. Quit AOO and reopened, problem solved.
