Loss of Firefox Bookmarks after OOo download

Post by sue claire »

Welcome beginner. What is your question or comment?
Please try to briefly and clearly tell us: What you want, What you tried, and What happened.

I was finally successful in downloading OO with the help of suggestions on this forum from Wandering. But following the completion of this down load, my BookmarKs on Mozilla Firefox all disappeared, and I can't seem to add any new ones. Advise and thanks,

Perhaps the problems all along were to do with a dodgy Firefox? I'd un-install it and re-install it. The action of downloading (any) file shouldn't affect your bookmarks. :o

Absolutely agree with TheGurkha, OOo downloads should have nothing to do with Firefox. I think the loss of bookmarks may be coincidental.

Are you running a Firefox bookmarks extension, such as Foxmarks? Did you happen to update Firefox recently?
Maybe this thread from the Mozilla Firefox support forum will help:
