[Solved] Plugin to apply a template to an existing document

Post by MPEcho »

Is anyone aware of a way (using Writer) to apply a template to an existing document? I thought I read somewhere about a plugin that would do it, but now I can't find that info.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the edit button if your issue has been fixed.

The extension you want is Template-Changer-1.2.7c.oxt.

For various reasons, that version is only distributed as part of a bug report at bugs.documentfoundation.org.
Bug # 60592.

Thanks Jonathan. There is also a version 1.2.7d available. It does not really apply the template. A template in my mind has styles, headers footers, and default body text. The last, the default body text is omitted. Not the worst thing ever, and useful for what I need. So I'll call ti solved

Thanks Hagar,
This one and the one on the LO bugtracker seem to be very similar. Appreciate the help.
