My saved file turned into #'s

Post by lokus32 »

Good day, i have a problem with my text document on my open office writer. I saved something and when i accesed it the next time it was all #'s,all the letters and text turned into #'s. I'm not sure why this happened but everytime i try opening the file i first get a ASCII command that pops up, i only clik ok and go on the file and you know everythings #'s. Im very grateful for any help, it was a school project so it would be nice too fix this :P

See [Tutorial] How to find and un-delete Writer temporary files for instructions on how to identify and un-delete the temporary files Writer wrote while you were editing the file, and then deleted. You should be able to recover all or most of the file.
LO 6.4.4.2, Windows 10 Home 64 bit

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
