[Solved] Footer is not showing in the preview print
[Solved] Footer is not showing in the preview print
My footers do not print at all and I seem to be wasting more and more time on this common issue.
Please help.
I have a table that I placed automatic header and also header for the page so removing the footer and writing it seems a bit inconvenient. i will start deleting the footers not but I would like to know how to solve this problem either now or in the future. On internet there is no help whatsoever. Only about when it shows in the preview. But what do you do if it doesn't show in the preview?
Please help.

Its just like the uploaded image. I read that I am able to move the footer but I do not seem to see how? I think If I move the footer up it will fit. The ruler disappears when I click in the footer.

Re: Footer is not showing in the preview print
You move the Footer by changing its spacing in the Page style definition.

Ok that worked thanks a lot! But to be honest this should have not been so hard

Re: Footer is not showing in the preview print
It is possible your printer page size and your document page size are different. YOU are driving the program - it is your responsibility to see that all settings match.

It wasn't hard ... when you knew how to do it. Can I suggest you check Chapter 4 - Formatting Pages in the OOo v3.3 Writer Manual or the up to date Writer guide.Kgnot wrote:this should have not been so hard

How long should I expect to wait for a reply? The earlier post said to make adjustments---did not say what to adjust. I have wasted hours and days wrestling with this and similar problems in OO. Help!!!

Related question: Paper size keeps reverting to A5, no matter how I set it. Never happened before today. I have never used A5. Using OO 4, Windows 10 (which is a disaster made for children). Help!!!

Re: [Solved] Footer is not showing in the preview print
How do you set it? I only know one way. Since the page size is an attribute of the page, then the page size must be changed in the page style (or styles if there is more than one page style used in the document). The header and footer locations on a page are also attributes of the page, so those settings are also located in the page style(s).ramseyavenuebooksllc wrote:Paper size keeps reverting to A5, no matter how I set it.

Footer grey lines do not appear in print preview or in printout. Text and content in footer does appear in print preview and printout.ramseyavenuebooksllc wrote:Footer does not appear in print preview.
