calc crashes when I navigate to certain cells

Post by bertmung »

This started immediately after I upgraded to 2.4.1. My OS is OpenSuse10.3

When I navigate to a certain cell in one of my spreadsheets OO.o crashes.

Deleting the user profile folder has been suggested and I tried that without success.

I can reliably recreate the error by navigating with the mouse to a row greater than 40 in a blank spreadsheet.

Thanks.

Seems to be a distro version of OOo. Especially if it occurs for any file.

You should try the official version from OOo web site. You need to remove your distro version of OOo and then install the RPMs downloaded. Or see here perhaps: [Solved] OOo 2.4 SuSe 2.6 No KDE Menu Items after painful, different issue but can give some hints.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

I removed all the old OpenOffice.org packages with YAST.

I downloaded and Openoffice.org from openoffice.org and reinstalled.

calc still crashes if I mouse click on a row higher than 40.

It also crashes while attempting to open a file from the open file dialoge.

I've deleted the post about renaming the profile (had forgotten you had already tried that).

Sorry, no idea at all for the crash in row above 40.

For the crash on Open dialog, try to use the OOo dialogs: Tools>Options>OOo>General>Open/Save dialogs.
