User Defined Number Formats for cells - save 4 future use?

Post by amycaraballo »

I have a custom format of '(###) ###-####' to format telephone numbers. I've named it telephone. But each time I open a new spreadsheet, the UDF format is not there and must be re-created.

How do I permanently save a UDF number format?

Thanks!

Create a cell style and save it in your template: [Tutorial] Creating a new default template.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

Thanks. But for some reason, I can't get an option to 'save as the default' template (see attached gif)

The file is saved as:
MySpreadsheet.ots
OpenDocument Spreadsheet Template

I'm using 2.41

... pick your template and then call "Set default" from the "Commands" button (the button contains a menu).
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.
