hello,
like the subject said, i cannot open openoffice files directly (double-click the file), and also cannot start the individual software (i use writer for example, but it happened to all openoffice software), i have use the openoffice suit first.
if i start writer, it show the progress bar, then nothing, if i double-click the odt file, same as the software, showing the progress bar then, a message will pop-up and said writer crashed, or something.
what happen with my openoffice? installed from opensuse 10.3 buildservice - openoffice.org repository.
sorry for the english...
thank you

Re: cannot open openoffice files directly
i'm afraid no, i already uninstall n install (download) openoffice again, still the same. but i'm not sure about 'desktop integration' thing, where do i get that? if i search on opensuse repositories, i got openoffice-devel, which mean i have to install (download) another 760mb again, with the same content...Hagar de l'Est wrote:Does it help: [Solved] OOo 2.4 SuSe 2.6 No KDE Menu Items after painful?

Re: cannot open openoffice files directly
The desktop-integration package is the one used to associate files to OOo and create the menu entries. In the RPM tarball from OOo web site for example, it's a sub folder of the main RPMs folder. In Suse, I don't know how it works.
