Photoshop

Post by dogsandwoods »

New to the forum, but have been using OO since buying the Mac. Am looking to purchase a resume package online, but they are all in Photoshop (or another Adobe) format. Will OO work instead?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

What do you mean exactly?
Can't you use a template (see the extension page) and make your resume with Writer?

I was going to purchase this template: http://graphicriver.net/item/curriculum ... r=Sargatal but it looks like I must also own Photoshop.

That said, thank you Hagar for introducing me to another area of OO! There are many goodies out there!

Do you really need all of that?

Don't know if it is necessary, but my old resume format just isn't catching the eye of anyone. Thank you; I'll check on this!

GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) is to Photoshop as OpenOffice is to Microsoft Office. They are not 100% compatible, but pretty close, so if you're interested in Photoshop-type stuff I'd recommend looking into GIMP.
