Landscape printing business cards!

Post by rouquinne »

I have followed so many instructions on how to change the style but nothing seems to be working.

I am using AOO Writer v.4.1.0 with Windows 8.1.

These are the steps I am following:

File > New > Business Cards
Format: Sheet
Brand: Avery Letter Size
Type: 8371 Inkjet
New Document

F11 - select Page Styles
Right click on Landscape
Select New
Name
Select Landscape
Go to Format > Page > Change orientation to Landscape
Click ok
Select the new style from the list

And.... nothing!!!! The page remains resolutely portrait in orientation, even if I save it and reopen it.

I have to print these by 3pm EDT July 4th - they are for my stepfather's memorial service.

I am NOT computer illiterate, this is annoying beyond belief!!!!

Sorry, but you can't just change the page orientation to make portrait-style cards/labels. The pages you get with File > New > Labels use frames that do not rotate with the page.

I think the best way to do this is to make your own template; I doubt you're going to find any portrait-style business card templates around.

I would start by changing the page orientation: Format > Page > Page > Orientation: Portrait

Then, insert a table and configure that to match the card sheet.

Create the content and copy/paste it to fill the sheet.

Thank you.
