Changing default settings for Paste Special

Post by kerflop »

When I use the Paste Special command for the first time after starting Calc, it defaults to a selection of "Paste all". Since I almost invariably change the selection to Numbers, I'd like to make that the default setting. Is there any way to do that? Of course, once I've changed the setting, it remembers for the duration of that session, but I'd like to make it permanent.

Annoying isn't it? It's a really strange dialog too--it took me some head-scratching to figure out how to use it.

Unfortunately, there's no way to change the defaults except to use it.

Bummer. I guess I'll just have to learn to live with it.

Thanks.

You can record a macro, of say, Edit > Paste Special > Unformatted Text, and attach it to a keyboard combo or an icon on a toolbar.
